“Are you man enough”, could you tame the beast. Make no mistake, this rod has power in droves. Anyone who has tried it will tell you that. It is certianly not your typical Zziplex, this rod screems power during a cast, hit it and you will find the tip section is relatively easily bypassed into a extremey rigid, but progressive mid section. The resistance met during mid section compression is quickly translated down the blank into the casters arms and shoulders crying out for you to accelerate harder into the cast. Unless your body can answer by applying raw power the rod gives you a sensation of being held back as every sinew in you arms pushes against its resistance, as you progress the arc feels long and slow into release giving you a sensation being physically underpowered as the lead is released. On release you know the rod has not been worked properly. It must be an exhilaration for those powerfull enough to fully compress this rod. The recovery and scream of the reel on release must be lightningly fast.

In short, don’t buy this rod if you cannot regurlary cast +250yds with a 6oz weight, or your distances will be down. I tried it for a day on a tournament court and was 10yds down on my other Rods in the same weight bands. Casting aside, I’m sure it would make a good doggie rod.
