Simon Everett AKA Dorado in the fishing forum, is organising a kayak safety day for local kayak anglers.
The course will be run on 26th and 27th April 2009. Runswick Bay will be the venue for the course. The day should run to the following agenda.
1. Self rescues and assisted rescues
2. Support strokes

Dav and Gary from the fishing forum had their first experience of kayak fishing today. It was very nearly their last as Gary capsized and was pushed out to sea by strong winds. Gary was rescued by the RNLI with the help of his friend Dav.
