The Whitby Sea Anglers Fishing Club runs from October to September every year. The club is as popular as ever with local anglers fishing the winter league for a variety of species including: cod, bass, whiting, pollock, coalfish and rockling. All the information on the Whitby fishing club including catches, match info, results and positions can be found from the "Club" option in the sites main menu at the top of every page.
The British Bass Record has been smashed by Isle Of Wight angler Steve Cave who caught a near 20 pound bass from Sandown Pier on the island.
