Heaviest Fish Outside Of A Match

Whitby Fishing Club Members Competition

A tankard is awarded each year to the angler who catches the heaviest fish  outside of a club match. Across the years there have been some great catches non more memorable than John Butlers 14 pounds 4 ounce cod back in 1998 taken from rail hole in broad daylight. Also worth a mention is Mike Vasey's record in the event with 4 wins out of the first 8 years he competed in the event.
