    They are everywhere. Just depends how many you want to get. Port Mulgrave, left of runswick, Kettleness, Saltwick, Stoupe beck up To Ravenscar. The bigger the tide and the further you go out the bigger they seem to be.

    when i was a kid (long time ago) we used to get buckets full from saltburn

    staithes always a good place as well.take a yard brush and coal shovel to collect them.sweep em up and shovel into a sack.

    I used top have a sack full of hermits untill i had the opperation, now all ive got is empty shells :-[
