Thinking back to this time last year, the catches for the boat fishing lads were pretty abysmal. Boats were steaming all over the north sea for little in terms of catches. The cold water from the extreme winter had meant fish were had come by. You can read all the catch reports from 2013 here. One year on, we've had a fantastic winter for cod from the shore and for the Uptiders with Mistress and Sea Otter 2 being the boats doing the business in the winter months. With Summer just around the corner now and catches already looking good, i can only see a bumper year on the cards. Im wondering what sort of predictions were getting from the Skippers ?? Do you see 2014 being an excellent year ?? Could it be the best fishing year in a decade or made ?
