I honestly don't know how the charter fleet can sustain it, can't recall many times that they have been out so far this year. Must be very difficult financially just hope things will get better for all you chaps.

Re: Whitby Spring Boat Angling Festival Results 17-04-2013

I think once the weather does turn we should all get behind the skippers and book an extra trip or two to help them out - I can rely on internet orders when the weather is bad but that's obviously not much use for charter skippers :cheesy:
If you've always fancied a boat fishing trip but never got round to it then this year is the one to do it - all the skippers will be glad of our support this year and the fish should be in good numbers, having not been bothered much so far

agree with the poster who felt for the skippers and the cancelled trips.ideally wed have been out at least 3 times this year already.thats a fair bit of lost reveune.the wind weather etc is something we cant influence but even the south westerlies have been near gale force we will always go on' mistress 'as first choice.and we like to have a bash in the festivals but this spring ones been unlucky with conditions, glad today a few more qualty fish showed and someone tommorow has a great shot at a grand.also worth mentioning jimthefloats reports are great for us landlocked danglers and always check for results.wouldnt be surprised if a whopper turned up last day again
