Ive been a approached by a guy who is writing a book on sea angling. He would like to know what are the record fish caught by wcsa and whitbyseaanglers.co.uk members. If you could help me fill in the gaps it would be very helpful. If you think your fish beats any mentioned then please let us know. You dont need to have posted pics, it doesn't even need to be recent or in the lifetime of the forum, but fish caught should be verified by club, match Personal or shop scales.

In 1988/89 whilst Wrecking off Northumberland (Blyth), from Whitby, I saw in one drop a 46lb Ling surface, and 2, 30lb+ cod on the "Muffitts" (cheaper version of muppets above the pirk), Bear in mind its nearly 25 yrs ago, I have no idea what happened to the Ling, but Im fairly sure their aint been a bigger one caught on rod and line off Whitby...... Its not recent, verified by club scales or in the lifetime of this forum, but in my memory.
