Is there any news on day 3 yet ?? Here is a report and photographs posted in our Facebook Group By Perry Frankland Who Was Fishing On Paul Eddon's Trot On Charters.

    TROT-ON (WHITBY)
    CATCH REPORT 2/4/16

    Hi All,

Well yesterday was one of them special days for this time of year it's the 2016 Spring Festival and with the lads we had onboard we knew we were in with a chance of catching a "biggie" during our steam out to a wreck 20mile from Whitby we had a bit of crack with the crew and everyone instantly got on and the banter along with the fish started to come along like a steam train,

We had fish from the very first drop down mainly falling for bait we had a few on shads every drift was producing 4/5 fish ranging from 4-6lb these fish were the length of 6-8lb fish easy but they have just started to eat again after spawning which is a very good sign for the coming season here in Whitby,

Our biggest fish was a pollock at 11lb 8oz which I caught myself by foul hooking it in the tail ! Needless to say it took off like a bullet. Unfortunately it was 9oz short of taking first place and potentially 1,000 pound but saying that may aswell be 20lb short

All in all it was a quality day aboard TROT-ON we made some new friends who said the are re-booking soon,
we will of taken over 100 fish and put a good few back for next time,

    Call Paul on 07766995847
To book on the 2015 Summer and Autumn Winners.

Cracking report Perry, Paul doing the business again putting the miles in to put his anglers on the fish and attempting to avoid the Algie, can see a full house for Trot On fingers crossed for 2016 in the festivals, don't think I can get any time off for this one but having read your report it's got me itching, hope to catch up soon.
Try and leave a biggie f or Carl

    Cheers Lee

    bigcod Rockling

Sat and Sunday the fishing was very steady on SEA-OTTER 2 the tides were very small perfect for the inshore wrecks Saturday we had around 60 cod on the boat but yesterday most of the lads had around 10 cod each around 90-100 cod plus lings as well but what was very surprising we had 3 catfish 1 is quite rare nowadays but to get. 3 on the same day is exceptional .

But it was regular man dirk who got the biggist cod in the competition so far and took on e of the daily prizes a very long fish which had just spawned and went over the 10 lb mark it looked into the teens when it came into view still a very nice fish indeed and dirk was over the moon a very well done dirk .

Here is dirk with his cod .

Another Trot on Catch Report Submitted To Our Facebook Group, And The Real Whitby Facebook group by Perry Franklin

    TROT-ON (WHITBY)
    CATCH REPORT 5/4/16

Well that man Paul Eddon has done it again !!!

TROT-ON is in pole position for the 2016 Spring festival with a 16.8oz cod. The fishing has been very very good considering the time of year with another 70-80 codlings onboard yesterday we managed two double figure fish 16lb8oz and also 11lb15oz we took first and second place on the daily prizes,

The stamp of fish was smaller than last time out ranging from 2-4lb but still good to be catching fish of this stamp at this time of year it bodes well for a cracking year aboard TROT-ON,

The leading fish was a 25lb+ (est) fish but unfortunately had just laid her eggs so had dropped a lot of body weight, both these fish have taken1st and 2nd place our monthly heaviest fish comp which could win both anglers a free trip, and David makings from Lancashire is in a very good position to win

A very nice 1,000 pound kindly sponsored buy

THE STATION INN (opposite the train station)

TROT-ON would like to take the opportunity to thank the station inn for again sponsoring this festival it's greatly appreciated,
Also welcome onboard to our main summer festival sponsors

    THE SKIPPERS CAFE,
Who will be opening at 6am daily from the end of April With unlimited tea and coffee, and a 10percent discount to all anglers.
We are very thankful of there help with everything,

    The summer festivals
    Tackle sponsors
"Hook, line, and sinker" based on church street,

Also the ship inn many skippers local pub,
    the singing kettle,on baxtergate
Carols coffee corner (top of church street near tackle shops) Amazon electrical services. And Imogen Windows ltd

Please show your support to these local businesses as without them the prizes would be nowhere near where they are

    1st place 5,000
    2nd place 1,000
    3rd place 500
    4th place 250

With daily prizes, section prizes and 1,000s of pounds up for grabs TROT ON had practically a clean sweep last year including the main 5,000 pound prize

Call Paul on 07766995847 to book you place onboard whitbys number one charter boat all hire gear is brand new and supplied from www.anglingdirect.co.uk
