Which Headtorch?

After some recomendations. Read a post a couple of weeks ago & after a little searching am looking at one of the following two headlamps:

    http://www.headtorch.co.uk/products/cree-xm-l-t6-led-rechargeable-head-torch

    http://www.ukoutdoorstore.co.uk/p-1387-led-lenser-seo-7r-rechargeable-headtorch-220-lumens-120m-beam.aspx?CAWELAID=730004950000000393&catargetid=730004950000000002&cadevice=m&cagpspn=pla

Ideally after a rechargable, in the market as existing torch ok for fishing but not accessing marks etc.

Suppose my main question would be how many lumens do you need for tackling the rocks on a night & is there really such a noticeable difference between 1600lm & 220lm? (The 220 model is more expensive!)

    Cheers

I have a 360 lumin light and it will take your eyes out. Robust as hell too, not flimsy like the crees.

I ended up going with the Fenix hp11 and used it for the first time the other night and was well impressed with it. Not badly priced either.

i've used a cree 1600lm for one season now and cant really fault it for short sessions.

i'm after a new headlight now myself i want one with a better battery life for fishing marks which require alot of walking.

been looking at the fenix HP25 anyone seen/used these?

Just a word about my experience with Fenix.
I bought an HP20 about 4years ago for about £60, initially I was more than happy with it,it has 4 different light settings controlled on a switch on the lead from the battery to the light, it seamed water proof and was pretty bright on full beam.
After a couple of years it started to fail, the switch stopped working properly and became fixed in full beam setting. then the light became intermittent which I traced to the lead where it entered the light housing. Neither of these faults are fixable as its not possible to get into these components without breaking them.
Looking at reviews of the HP20 ( which is no longer manufactured) it seams that plenty of owners were initially impressed with it only for it to fail for reasons similar to mine.
Briefly scanning through some reviews of the HP11 there appears to be a similar pattern of owners being initially happy with it but after a short time becoming dissatisfied.
However this is only my experience and perusing a few reviews,

Petzl ultra accu 4 I get 20odd hours full beam and even when batteries are dying off its got back up for a extra 1 1/2 hours for the long walk back to the car around during the rocks and it's the full beam you get. Very expensive but comes with a 10 year warranty against any water corrosion including salt water and has a gorgeous huge wide beam with a lovely clear white colour light and fail safe built to last and every part of the light I'd waterproof I used mine a few months ago with the battery submerged in water around my waist over low water at luce Bay and there's nothing to corrode so it's brilliant and best headlight I have ever owned and I have a smaller Petzl for a back up

My fenix has arrived today and i tested it to go spot trout in saltburn beck in the dark.

i tested it with my cree 1600lm and theres nothing in them between the two for the spot light! (1600lm and mine states 180 i think the chinese need a better lm tester 8))

very impressed so far, i wanted a spot light for general walking/spotting a fish while reeling in and a wide beam for baiting up this does it all by the looks of it.

Looking forward to a proper test while fishing!

Was having a look at that one a while back but came to the same conclusion.

Got one of these and a couple of these instead. Seem fine but I haven't had them out on the rocks yet.
