    I use this supplier,

But ONLY buy the braid on the spools in the picture, NOT braid on any other spool, the spool pictured is sold as Powerpro, and I have always bought this braid except for once, when I bought on a bulk spool with some other brand name, and it was like towrope.... Not from this supplier though .

Obviously I cannot guarantee any Braid that you buy, but I can say that I have never had any problem.... fast and free delivery, 9 days in fact.

Cant go wrong, at that price its a no brainer.

Has anyone used the 8 strand braid from agepoch fishing. If so is there much difference?

    Re: braid from china

If its any help I've used that supplier several times- 20lb braid for plugging from the kayak- no complaints from me- its abrasion resistant and quite 'stiff' and appears stronger than stated. I use the 30lb power pro for shadding etc. IMHO

@ £6.20 for 300m you can't go far wrong. I would go for the 60lb - good balance between strength and 'castability'. Got it on all my F/S reels and I have no complaints.

(used to work well on the multi too - until I gave it (the reel) some 'maintenance')

Isn't that spectra too thick? I use Chinese "power pro" from ebay, and it is thin and strong. Some people complain about thickness other braids.

    Re: braid from china

Yes Pavel I agree, I found the spool kicking around that had had the braid "towrope" on it,the one I bought to try out... it was that Spectra brand, and a right waste of money as well, thick, coarse, good for kite string or tying up parcels, but no good as fishing line. unless you want to make a handline for the kids.

i use the agepoch spectra on my hire rods and shore reels in 50lb, no complaints, its thinner than a given strength of mono and theres no stretch. plus reduces birdsnests, bottom snags etc, thumbs up from me it only cost £5 per fill its great line for the hire gear

    Re: braid from china

I got agepoch spectra last year for my boat reels - ordered yellow but they sent me the multi-coloured stuff! When I complained they sent me half a dozen useless little plugs as compensation!

The braid itself is fine - actually having it change colour every ten metres can be useful for checking how deep you're fishing ;)

After learning expensive lessons and listening to the sterling advice of Rich & Deano we moved onto "Agepoch" braid.
The 40lb stuff is great and that nervous tic I developed when snagged on wreck tops has just about gone now. :-[

    I use Agepoch......seems absolutely fine :)

this stuff takes some beating and i'm a massive fan of original power pro this stuff is not far off, some say its the same, anyway it beats all the other cheap spectras etc i've tried hands down.. great price and a uk seller too

I've bought the 8 strand braid in 300 metres of 50lb for boat fishing and it is much better quality, though a bit more expensive.

I'm really happy with it and plan to stick with it in the future.

The 8 Strand is so much smoother and doesn't grate in the rod rings like the cheaper coarser weaved braid does.

I have some of the yellow lb50 on order.

I have in use at the moment lb50 8strand from agepoch http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/8Strands-300M-50LB-Gray-Super-Strong-Dyneema-Braided-Sea-Fishing-Line-/371136719817?pt=UK_SportsLeisure_Fishing_Line_JN&hash=item566978ebc9
Which I find smoother and slightly stiffer than the 4 strand on another reel I use.
