Question for the locals - wondered if anyone ever bothered fishing the beach near the pier, and with some decent tides and bigger lows coming up this weekend what kind of ground I would be hitting @ 120 yds or so on a decent low tide? I am on Sea Urchin with Pete on Saturday/Sunday, stopping over Sat night and am looking to entertain myself for a few hours Saturday night - it's either that or find a dirty woman :embarrass:

fished that area last year on a good low tide .Did well with flaties and whiting. casting up the side of the pier but about 200yds to the east of it.

didn`t lose any gear as its onto sand.

stickman There's a difference between fishing and catching!

Don't you mean to the west? 200 yards to the east would put you on the east pier :suspious:

The way things are right now it would be easier to get a dirty old woman than a cod
