Yep, that young Lee is a spawney bugger! :tease: :cheesy:

I was thinking of doing exactly the same sort of thread the other day, bit like what Ken did last year (a review of the year's fishing). I'll write something up either today or tomorrow.

Some cracking fish there, I'm proud to of had the chance to fish with some real nice lads over the year. Had a cracking week at the Mull with great company and deffo one of the highlights of my fishing career, hopefully I'll be able to join you guys up there again at some point.

That 11lb 6oz Pollock you had Gary was a stonker and I'll never forget that fight, you were screaming almost as much as the reel!

Fantastic stuff Gary, some cracking catches and happy faces, and thats what its all about  ....................Not really sure what my highlights of 2010 would be to be honest, ive enjoyed every minute, even the blanks have there place......................there's probably a couple of highlights that stick out for me, one was the summer codding and the abundance of small codling, remember 1 session on the drive when it was thick with 'em, must have caught over 25 throughout the day, majority of which were returned..............

2nd highlight was more recent, fished Hawsker for the 3rd time and enjoyed a fantastic day landing 8 fish for 29lb, a new PB bag.....

I feel very lucky to have received help from several very good anglers throughout 2010 and 'touch wood', i have yet to come accross a member on here who will not give you help when asked................Other memorable events/catches, Quint getting the 'Angler of the week' in the Filey Festival, a fantastic achievement as I know the amount of effort it took.............Woodys 10 cod hall from Whitby West in November and lastly Matty's 7 cod from Cayton in September, he was absolutly buzzin...................which is what its all about............

Massive well done to everbody for there efforts in 2010, enjoyed reading every report, roll on 2011!!!!!!

    A few of my highlights from this year . . . .

A great Summer on the boat showing you don't need 50lb gear to enjoy a bit of cod bashing,I shared a day out with some of the guys off here and hope to see you next year trying out the " carp gear ".

A week up the Mull with some of the best lads and knowledgeable anglers I have had the pleasure to fish with

The Grand Master shows he can still do the biz !

Doing a bit of mountaineering (ok hill climbing to some of you hardened types)

Setting your stall out for a PB and seeing it come good (cheers Gary   )

But probably the highlight was been able to say "I was there" when John caught his superb bass and it came from a mark we had chosen earlier for it's potential (I hope the markers there for next year  )

To all the guys I have fished with and received advice and help from I say a big thank you and look forward to sharing some good times in 2011.

Part two of my 2010 year,
well fish were a bit scarce early season on the cod front but Kev managed to find a fish one night ,
we had a trip to hillstones near kettleness ,as with most parts then conditions looked ok but the fish never read the script
    one for kev [IMG]
a week or two later the fish came on and a call to my friend terryhad us off to whitby west the fish had been showing for a while now ,and after a few saessions catching coalies ,it was nice to see the cod again,[IMG]
terry with a canny fish [IMG]
next up was a trip out with John Ducky,
once again the fish went quiet but after a very long run around we ended up at the tenniss court mark, it was a first for me at the venue ,just as we were thinking of packing in john pulled up a mop followed by a nice fish for me ,
    [IMG]
the coalies came along as well, seems they were everyware this year
    [IMG]
next up for me was an unexpected call from Garry ,
do you fancy a couple of days up north, well as soon as the phone call ended my gear was packed,
myself y and Alan headed to the cod capitalof scotland Arbroath area, and we done ok , meeting up with tangle jock and his son,Dave and Christopher,
they were well made up from all the advice they recieved and have since had some success after we had long left ,
    [IMG]

not a bad little trip realy fish all round ,
    [IMG]
