Pleased you enjoyed your day out.

What's the cat like as a fishing platform?

Does the twin hulls make it more stable.

Re: seals, on Saturday plenty showing near pier end quick move & they didn't

    Follow next drift.

Must be filling up on abundant mops.

    Brian,
Same names but different boats, Hartlepool boat came from Ilfracombe, the other Loneshark was a Whitby boat.

    Zetland, re: scallopers,

Keep a sharp eye when your out in fog fishing news has article on them

Dragging away pots, static men losing pots.

One skipper lost 250 pots, no redress etc etc all frustrated scbro way as tracking means

    Not considered to nail them.

    Sibs next

Quite a lot of blash on the shores edge, will be difficult if not nigh on impossible for beach launching for a fair few days, why does it always go wrong when theres a chance of a day off and a day afloat

Sea Otter 2, Mistress , Trot On

You'll do well with either of those although Paul on Sea Otter is probably Whitby's most popular skipper and tends to get booked up quite early

Theres other boats running out of the harbour some quite new vessels too most notably Pete Rose with Sea Urchin 3 a big stable Procharter 4, I'm sure that some others will be able to throw a few names into the mix given their own experiences from Whitby

Was planning for back end of week,

Wind supposed to swing round overnight Tues,

Was SSW 8-10 mph wed to then leave us with sw breezes for a week,

That was MSW yesterday, but as you know as with wind guru, things change.

Look forward to a long settled few weeks.

    Weed shouldnt be a problem,

Can be for some tilt/trim fast fishers ,causing problems for props etc.

If weed evident we row out past the thick weed, drop engine and away.

You will be very surprised how many boats are oarless.

Nice this morning ,but to much slap on for us.

Beach fishing ,you will find a few weed free marks for a session locally.

    Hope it settles soon.
