Hi all. Yet again paul eddon has managed to find the biggest fish of the day aboard trot on. We had a couple of drops for macki on the way out to our chosen wreck and managed not bloody one ...

thankfully when we arrived at the wreck we were planning on targeting then we managed plenty of the lil buggers ....... we started to fire bait straight into it as the wind vs tide was in our favour and was holding us up over the top of the wreck loverly.....straight away we started to get 7/8/9 pound cod and ling with local lad john morrison fishing well with cart and it was looking like we were going to have a cracker.

Local father and son team steve and jack locker pointed out about 70 yrds away from the boat they saw a flock of birds and one get taken under from a shark attack .....now if it was a regular angler you would of took this with a pinch of salt but steve is whitby born and bread with a very good knowledge of the sea.

Next 10 min the skipper of the very successful whitby trawler "our lass 3" is bringing a 4/5lb ling up then his rod just bends double as if he is stuck in the wreck.

This was mid water prime shark territory ripping line off his reel ect...... all the poor bugger managed to retrive was this after 5/10 min fighting with the bloody thing

Now we could not decide if it was the shark attack or the turn of tide that made the fishing die off a bit but after that shark it seemed 2 go a bit stale so we had a move hitting wrecks and ground on our way back to whitby here is a few photos including todays biggest fish which also goes second in this years cod section
