Bigsi is right, they are the Starlight type, I bought a couple of boxes on Wednesday, down to the last 3packets of my old stock, good value... they come out at Lidles every year at about this time.
Quick tip, leave them in the little packets until you need them, as they can "go off" and wont work if left out.

    Unless....

I fix mine to the rod tips, then wrap some aluminium foil around the the light, and then wrap some insulation tape over the foil. When it gets dusk, I remove the tape which also pulls off the ally foil, give them a quick squeeze and they light up straight away, no messing.

Si,doesnt bring them back to life, just sort of extends them, if you had an 8 hr light and used it for four hours and bunged it in the freezer, it will have 4 hours left when you defrost it, or thereabouts, useful if you live near the coast, crap for me though !
    Tried it, it does work.
