Fishing Bait The humble squid.

    Seems that upsurge in price to @ £5 for unwashed squid packs

    Averaging 10 per pack ie: 50 p per small squid makes the cost

    Of peelers at £1 each more attractive.

    Poor supply cause for price hike this year?

    Bulk buys at online sites seem scarce .

    Didn't have problems for buying bulk for long lines previous years.

    im one of the lucky few to have a good supplyer of squid,a friend of mine owns his own sea food restaurant so prices are cheap for me,aswell as small octopus and mussell,just soul destroying shelling it and detest the job.thoughs cod seem to have a liking for octopus,just as effective as squid in some area's.

    I did read about Argentina fishing deliberately for the baby squid before they reached the falklands just to upset the falkland island fisherman, I don't know what they do with the baby squid??? fertilizer maybe?

    North Bay Angling Bridlington, ilex or ligligo patagonian both un washed/dirty squid @ £3-50 per pack around 400gm
