Well it looks like the bass are starting to turn up abit more in the whitby area.

Me and Damo headed out around high water. The water looked a perfect milky colour with plenty of breakers coming through.

Damo was first into a stonker of a fish but it managed to shake the hook free half way in. We then moved into the next run and i got one secong cast. A small schoolie about 2 1/2lbs.

We fished this spot hard until Damo decided to move back to where he'd lost the first fish. within a few casts he had another one on just under 4 1/2lbs. Well done mate

The fishing then went quiet untill all holy hell broke loose when i thought id hooked a monster. I was toing and froing with the fish for ages. when i'd finally got it to the shore i noticed the line had wrapped around its tail during the fight. abit dissapointed that it wasnt the huge fish i thought, but still a nice one at 4lbs

Great report lads with some good pictures. A couple of years ago on here there was hardly a report of a Bass above Scarborough on the forum. How much has changed . Good luck for the big one that is bound to come your way at some point.

    Cheers Jellyworm.
