seems like ages ago
hate to see you peeved off then Danny if that is you happy  :cheesy: :nerd: Nice fish though bud
Yeah certainly a canny fish dan, wouldnt mind having another go at them , do you get a fair run through summer ? and did you get that on on bait through the day ? ever tried night fishing for em ? cheers
There are a few in there dav, Some big ones aswelll 10lb+. Not many are caught on rod and line most are netted or gaffed. You would probably get them on the fly though. Ive had browns over 1lb on the fly in there. Keep meaning to try for sea trout but im always too busy fishing or peelering, might have a night sesh one day this summer(if we get one that is).
Got that on ledgered worm first cast lol. Pulled the rod in and took 5 minuites to land in a pool that wasnt very big. Certainly wasnt happy to be caught :scared:
By all rights there should be some salmon in there because ive had them on the spinner in the sea and ive seen a 7lber that was netted 2 summers back. Ive got a pic of the one i caught some where, ill try and find it. would be nice if there was a run of sallmon in that beck
IV HAD SUM BIG FISH OUT OV THERE DAN WITH MY HANDS M8 HAD A 8LBS THE OTHER DAY M8
What did you do with it? At this time of year they will be full of spawn and taste like shat.
bucko we go down there catch them and tag them then let them go agen so we can see how many ov them return we did it last year and we had good results we caught 100 fish taged them and let them go and when they cam back up we manged 2 get 79 ov them
There is the occasional Salmon run these becks skunkhead as the local hand catchers will testify, they usually have a nice little hole in them as well ready for the tag :blindfold:  Wether they are just "tasting" the fresh water is another matter because they do not seem to run very far.
The trout are another matter and run right up to the moor, as you probably already know mate.
It had a good run last summer by all accounts, few doubles
