sandeels ??

    so whats the best way or your way of catching them ??
    ive caught them only on mini shrimp feathers before and not in any numbers (from the shore)
    just wonderd what everyone else is using ??

    Ive been using sabiki's but as yet have only managed to catch mackerel and very small pollack, these sandeels are quite the elusive species, cant get one for love nor money

    get yourself a fine mesh castnet , icouldnt see one failing from a boat , along the piers

    and they slaughter sprats , how do you think i got my name ,

    put calusa cast nets into the internet theres vids and all the info you need .

    but a good quality one aint cheap, good luck spratman

    ive been looking at castnets.co.uk .... but cant make my mind up looks like you need quite a big area to cast them off a boat !!

    A big spring tide and low water on sand and trammel your feet up and down and then a smooth sweep with a wide tang fork can get them.........at least round here anyway, plus the odd razor pops up as well.
