Rope Access At Hummersea Cliffs - Info Would Be Appreciated

    When i was out on thursday on the yak i noticed some ropes going down the cliff onto a big ledge after hummersea.
    what is this mark and how do you get to it? Any info would be much appreciated.

    From the description you give its most likely the whitestones area access being from either boulby or a long walk from hummersea

    It was the first set of ropes after hummersea, any info on how to go about fishing it?

    Yes the first rope past Hummersea is Whitestones , the beauty of this rope is that you can get onto the big ledge at any state of the tide it can be
    a very good mark to fish around 2.5 hrs before HW to around half Ebb on a decent sized tide , if you are going to fish this mark either side of LW
    its a better bet to go down the middle rope [ Green top rock rope ] try in the gulley directly in front of the rope where the big rock is , or you could go straight over to the Whitestones gulley ------- You could of course go down the original rope not far from boulby cottages , then either
    walk to Whitestones or go to the right and fish Boulby Gulley or some of the nearby runners
