    Hi there,
How about a Century TT Lite, £100, plus a good nick Abu 7000 C3 ct mag elite HS, extra £50.

Rod is in excellent condition. Used perhaps 15 sessions, and rebuilt by Coso. Though it says Lite, it is a cracking all round rod. Easy casting rod, capable of good distances. 5oz no problem. Solid tip, but good bite detection. Perfect rod for mixed, beach, casting feathers or jelly worms on 2oz barrel weight to distance for pollock.
Reel is an excellent caster. With 25lb Sufix line, I have had over 200 yards on field with it. Perfect for all but heaviest kelp (when high speed retrieve gearing let's it down - though retrieve does help keep sinker up).

If a mate asked me for an all round rod, the TT Lite is the one I would advise out of ones I have experience of.
