managed another outing to-day, with water clarity improving

decided on inside venture ,allowing strong early wind to push us

    out along rock edge.

1st couple of drifts mackerel & couple of cod to 5lb, mops returned.

run worse after this so deployed drogue, like y/day plenty of just size cod

sporty but returned to grow on.

wind eased & steady drift -no drogue required.

two rods into fish both doubles but whilst trying to "gill" mine (landing net

getting tother un) pirk snap swivel snapped & shake of its head & adorned

with pirk & luminous tube hook rig it looked like a gare seal showing off

    its tinsel jewelry.

couple of strap ling, blegs n billet.

    really enjoyable day.

** for info, anyone venturing out to-morrow, mate just off marske high

some fish on marks & he has 10 keepers to date, so they must be starting to

    come out to play.

couple to shads rest pirk/hokki rigs.

Will be giving a shot tomorrow, bottom unit to fit then should be good to go by about ten. Will catch the back end of the ebb and fish the flood, hopefully with something to report.

You could turn this into a competition, £100 to the angler who can catch the fish with your jigger still in , never know it might just generate a bit of forum interest, hoping to be out some time soon myself, just need to sort a day when we can have a crack at it

No bit of a nightmare, got the engine back together after a bit of chew with the gear selector then had to wait a couple of hours for the tide. Put in about 3 o'clock engine alarm and engine running in standby, spent a while running up and down in the river trying to suss it, then spotted a major oil leak, back ashore. Got in touch with Ian the outboard mechanic he had a look friday turned out to be leaking from the filter housing, luckily managed to shut down before any major damage.Anyway no fishing but it could have been worse.;)
