RESULTS - Nige Savage Celebration Of Life Match

    Well with the match fished yesterday, I would just like to thank everyone for there support and help towards doing a great thing for Nige and sally .

    Winner William Butterfield With A 50cm Bass Winning A Teklon Gold Spinning Rod


    Once we get a seat /bench sorted and placed we will get a few more pics up .

    who raised a great amount £525 by auctioning a days bass guided session on world seafishing forum .

    the winners of the auction were matthew brumby ,dave mc , graham robinson thank you to every one who bid, apologies to any ive missed .

    and a special thanks to alan <,bassman.> and budgie ,north bay angling brid>for there help in doing the match and raffle .

    and now down to the match it,s self.
    there was 15 entrants fishing the match on the day .
    raising £75 in entrance fee,s

    unfortunatley there was quite a few who couldnt make it ,but did donate to the match

    with the winner been a juniour 10 year old nephew of paul medd, william butterfeild catching the longest bass of the day at 50cm who won a teklon concept spinning rod .

    no doubt we will see his name again in fishing matches to come.
    and second place came to mick coates from bilton nr hull
    with a bass of 48cm who i would just like to congradulate on recently getting married .
    and third place was paul medd from scarborough a well known match angler with a bass of 47cm .

    unfortunately there was only the 3 fish caught with the fishing areas been limited
    to one area because of the conditions been to rough in other places .
    but there were a few fish about and ben cawthorn from brid
    did loose a bass .
    and plenty sea trout activity in the area .

    with there only been a few entrants,i decided to give every one who took part a prize
    .

    bassman and budgie raised £74 on the raffle run from northbay angling .
    and there is still alot to be counted from the raffle on the day
    but the amount raised upto present on the day was £604
    but with still £475 to come in

    also alex <stonefish > and michele who ran the kayak match from
    south landing .
    raised a great amount for 3 charities with niges been one of them
    so thank you for all the hard work you guys have done .
    i,m sure they will put a report up of how there match went .

    hopefully bassman will put a few photo,s up from the match its self

    just had a call from sally to say thanks to everyone and the total for the raffle was £248.50p

    Superb effort Andy, well done to everyone who made the day a success.

    It was nice to meet a few of the guys off the forum.

    Maybe next time we get down for a visit the fish will come out to play.

    Young William looks a natural and will only get better with his relatives guidance ;)

    Well done to young William on a fine capture and win, looks like we have another member of the Medd clan to contend with in the future

    It was a hard days fishing as said, but it was nice to see everyone back at the headquarters supporting the event

    I must say a massive well done to Andy for all his hard work running the match, you have done a great job Andy, it looks like we all raised a tidy sum, that hopefully will help Sally and her family with their loss

    Thanks again to Andy, for organising the event. It was a difficult day and Bass hard to find but top marks to young William for finding the best fish of the day.. It was great to meet up with a few forum members and I am sure fish or no fish everyone enjoyed there day out..

    Congratulations to Andy in organising the event and a big thank you to all who donated and took part, congratulation to the 3 who did managed to catch a bass young William, Paul and Mark on a very testing and long hard day.

    RESULTS - Nige Savage Celebration Of Life Match

    We'll done everybody on everything top notch. Especially the little fella on winning. My guess is every one else was casting too far. You will always get the bigger bass right under your feet mopping up the shrimp In The margins.

    Well done to William for catching the winning fish,Realy enjoyed this match even tho I never managed to land a bass on the day, got a good prize at the end off it aswell, well done Andy on organising it and to all who donated the great prizes, was good to meet mick coats aswell look forward to fishing with u again sometime :)

    Thanks for organising the match Andy. Excellent job mate, and for a very worthwhile cause. Well done to little William. Gave his Grandad and uncle a good beating. He's actually only 6 years old. Don't think I'd even heard of Bass until I was in my teens!

    well done paul looks like william is going to be a big lad
    he will enjoy using the rod ,there very good rods .
    i,m glad we had a decent day for it to ,if it was today it would of been a strugle
