A couple of weeks ago now, but had an excellent few days targeting the Pollock and Wrasse around Portpatrick. In windy but sunny conditions we fished a variety of methods and caught fish on virtually everything with Frozen sandeels the most successful.

Keeping an Eye on the Weather for the Mull next week, got a weeks holiday booked.
Hopefully it will play ball and we can have a go for a night time Conger or Huss.
Does anyone know if the Crab are still on the peel up there??

Hi. Managed a few days of fishing up at the Mull, the weather forecast turned out to be a few days early with the Rain and Wind.
We only managed 1 day out on the Boat, and was limited to the Luce Bay side of the Mull due to the high winds on the Irish Sea side.
Saturday night was the only chance of Night fishing from FlatRock, and only a 5lb Bull Huss to show for the efforts. The Seals have also appeared off FlatRock, although they only showed a passing interest in the mackerel we where catching for bait.
Tuesday out on the Boat, we managed to catch 3 small Tope and 3 Tub Gurnards, although the Mackerel where very hard to find, so bait supplies where limited. Big balls of baitfish where showing on the sounder, and the Dogfish we caught where all coughing up Sprats and Sandeels.
