    Quick report for inshore boats.

1 Unlucky boat ventured off from Marske t0-day off for @ 6hrs

for 2 Whiting. they'd been right down to hummersea/boulby.

big tides etc, but looked nice off, think they were bait fishing.

Last sat a boat had box of decent (up to 8lb) cod on shads-clearer water?

FAO, "our bri" tubs going mon/tues in dark to shoot L Line & fish for a couple of hours.

ill try shads v his bait.

guesting t0-morrow in mates boat so will see if it improves as tides ease etc.

will put a report up if we get off.

Looking at it this morning Bry and I thought the same, would be worth getting the shads out with the water being so clear

I'm in two minds whether to dig the boat out of the garage as it's looking so good for the next few days. B*gger the Christmas shopping.:D

wind to-day more than msw f/cast hence being blown across not with tide.

used drogue but only 8 cod all mops- returned.

positive plus -clear shads only used.

mon tues nxt run off, l/line -bait x-ref, should be settled/clearer

Well, that was an interesting couple of hours. It got quite breezy just as we found a few fish. After that it was a fish or two every drift We had over 20 fish, most went back, but we kept half a dozen, the best going to around 6lb, the others in the 2-3lb bracket. All the fish where caught on shads, all different colours, all mine on home made ones. We found the fish in 30ft - 40ft of water.

Good luck tomorrow, might see you out there, going to make another batch of shads now with a slight refinement.;)

Good luck tomorrow, might see you out there

launched in darkness with L Lines ,new lights worked a treat.

very eerie out as we ran along the coast & out to a mark outside pier end.

lines shot ok, covering nice ground etc.

motored off to fish with rods till daylight.

tried big mackerel flappers & a couple of mops caught -returned.

as daybreak came we found a few seals around boat, move required.

change to shads & kept 12 decent cod to 8lb, non to bait.

    recovered lines, 2 whiting !!!

carried on fishing but seals were a menace , couple of fish a drift

then seals appeared. put up with it for a couple of moves then

    back in.

mate had a box of fish on shads just inside the bouy at marske.

water clear but winds now due for a couple of days,

    no RIB out, rest day?

    That'll be the sprouts.
There was a RIB out today (same as mine) he launched from Skinny and stayed inshore, he only caught a few mops and a Pout.

We where off the pier end this morning in a bigger boat. Is yours the red and white one? If so we where just south of you. We ended up with 15 keepers to 4lb, all on shads, not a sniff on worm.

Is yours the red and white one

    yes,

the early bird catches on worm.

your 30-40 ft "banker" failed to "dazzle" your northern one produced

for the lad that fishes it & mark inside bouy.

as well as seals we suffered the "two" boat syndrome dropping in

on the drift etc, any seals further down skinny way ?

anyway its nice to have an easy day guesting, no gear to pack away

    engines to flush etc etc.

Nearest boat to you was us, when we finally got out, and we where at least a mile away.:D Or was it the 3 guys in the little cabin cruiser? You must have an affinity with seals, we never saw one.
