excellent, having known both lads and being friends with andrew for many years I think this would be an excellent tribute to them both.

have held out on posting on this topic as I havent been able to find the words to put over how terrible the loss of one of my friends has felt since I got the news such a short time ago. we grew apart over the years and i never knew him toward the end.

both the lads had family and friends that now miss them greatly

its a terrible world we live in when friends and loved ones are taken to death with little cause aside from duty

and now, particularly at this time of the year when we head towards the armistice I can find no better thing to say than to quote the Ode of Remembrance

They went with songs to the battle, they were young.
Straight of limb, true of eyes, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
    We will remember them.

If this was facebook, I would have clicked 'Like' on this post.

An excellent proposal to show that the lads who have served their duty for this country are indeed not forgotten.

what a fantastic gesture ,the lads who have paid the ultimate price for our goverments meddling in overseas affairs will be remembered by the new bridges and i for one will remember them every time i go on there.
well done scarborough council, never thought i would ever say that.
