    for info:

last week a couple of seals have appeared to have took up residency

between Marske slip way down towards the Horse path stretch.

they are taking their fair share of decent looking fish ,between the surf

    & just in the swells.

just watched them with binocs & taking fish just before dusk.

change of venue now for LW. tonight.

3 lads just set up & walked down St Germains path.

hope they don't spoil it for them.

    andy,

good indicator to whereabouts of said seals- look for gulls "mobbing" them

    when they surface with fish.

one resurfaced & nearly got a gull ! taking the scraps from surface

maybe fancied a bit of surf n turf.

There like the Taliban the more you shoot the more appear. I read recently that it is estimated there taking 40% of Scottish cod .

I must agree with boris777 as yes there are more seals but I've caught more fish in the last 3 years than in the previous ten. And as an afterthought never listen to a Scottish trawler fisherman as they were the reason we had very few of any species for a 10 year run as some of the boat owners and skippers are probably some of the greediest self centred people alive.

If the sea life centre stopped saving seals that would of died due to natural causes that might help
