KAYAK ANCHORING - How to safely anchor your kayak

    easier the way i do it Stephen, just haul up the anchor leaving the buoy on the end & let it float out behind you, but being a contrary B**g&er my system is not the same as anyone else uses :butt: it works :yes:

    As for anchor design crawler, we just don't anchor on soft ground in strong tides for our fishing, so the nothing special required. i have even forgot to unfold my anchor once & never moved an inch :no:
    If you are worried about it dragging i would just add some chain & pay more warp out.
    maybe for the Skate in deep water it will need a different approach or if you were in the humber estuary otherwise its fine as it is.
    my advise is make sure you are hauling in off the bow
