    Some cracking fish there bud. The 22lb Pike, nice Tench and the Chub are my favs. That chub is a beauty as well :cool: :cool: All from 2011?

    Cheers. All but the tench are 2011, i'll be out this weekend roving a few miles of river, hopefully have more to add. Beats a commercial any day!!

    Same here.....i'm fortunate to be in a couple of good angling clubs and have plenty of the Tees to chose from. Barbel and Chub will be my target this weekend (though i will of course take my lure rod for those pike that have a taste for swimfeeders!). The thing about rivers is that there's always something of interest in every swim, and you can walk for miles just trying out different areas. Be it creases, deep holes, undercut banks, steamer weed, weirpools, pike lairs it's brill!!

    Managed a few hours this morning, with the river being high i decided on the lower reaches and caught this 11lber on Mackerel.

    Only kidding, biggest jacks I use for livebaits are about 4lb any bigger than that and you have problems with treble placement, 3lb is a good livebait size but you can't cast them out you have to sort of lob them with your rod. If you use 4'lbers the rods won't take it so you have to underarm chuck em out

    Good to see you're still getting a few, have'nt been for a few weeks now due to working away from home but hope to put that right next weekend

    Lovely stuff Jim- and well done.
    I am going to have to pick your brains about what decent fish are available to me soon.
    Esk salmon and sea trout have had an awful year (again) so I think I need to look a bit closer to home for my sport.
