Awesome pics and report as always
well done Dan and faron on the skate 8) truly fish of dreams !!
I am not 100% sure :-\ but I think most of the big shore caught skate come from a small pier within a loch in scotland, Not from the open sea like your fish were ?
that's right rob,
its a pier on harris where the ferrys come in. usually caught at night in the winter
Well done on some great fish ----- Hell Paul you could park a 750 Kawasaki in that crack
I am sure Dan and Faron both know how pleased I am for them both.. You get certain anglers some specialise in one type of fishing and do very well (One trick Pony's) But for me, truly great anglers can turn there hand to whatever fishing is put in front of them...
Funny how many anglers are booking trips to Skye now.. There are so many anglers willing to follow in other peoples foot step's but not willing to make the first foot steps themselves...
Great achievement lads, and one which will stay with you forever.. Both worthy captors of magnificent fish..
Cracking post, superb pics and with scenery like that it doesn't matter if you catch f all
Great sentiment there Garry. We took the decision to come to Skye 3 years ago after actually following in your footsteps to The Mull. I think it was one day driving along the side of Luce bay that Mike said , next year we should do Skye and Raasay. The rest of course is history.
