    Thats a tag that got used on me plenty in my youth (Charltons)- even by cheeky feckers from Guisborough!! Now approx 29.8 miles from Whitby on the outskirts of Middlesbrough. We're lucky though in that my missus Uncle (From Hertfordshire) owns a cottage just off Flowergate so whenever he's not using it we jump at the chance to go there. Would love to live there but there unfortunately doesn't seem to be the jobs round there. However, the missus is aiming for a directorship where she works so you never know.

    its funy isnt it ian, people from middlesbrough call us people from guisborough woolybacks but people from further towards whitby call us townies. we cant win!

    Certainly is mate- got a mate from St Helens (hardly rural) and the Scousers down the road call them woolybacks.
    Mind you I suppose owt is better than "Scally" or "La".

    notts junction28 m1 not sure how far in miles but i use 50ltrs of biodiesel round trip at 15p litre lovely drive over moors in summer but bloody scary on your own in the winter nights if any one on route wants a free trip when i go pm me i also like brid, but will definatly be going out on sea otter 2 again in the winter if paul has room.
