    Short cast can pay dividends, but when its really heavy the better casters come good. Ive seen fish caught t 10 yards out.

    I'll have to give Hawsker a try this winter. I've not done a lot of shore fishing for cod and it's definately something I want to experience after reading a lot about it on the forums. I've only ever caught cod from charter boats when wreck fishing or from the kayak.
