If you don’t notice a problem straight away
It might not be obvious at the time that the work wasn’t done to a good standard, eg you hired a ‘man and van’ to help you move house and found a broken ornament 3 weeks later. You’re entitled to ask for things to be put right for:

    • up to 6 years in England, Wales and Northern Ireland
    • up to 5 years in Scotland
    What to say or write
You might want to mention the law that deals with your rights in this situation. Choose the relevant law depending on when you gave the trader the go-ahead.

If you agreed the work before 1 October 2015, you can say:

“The Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982 says that reasonable care and skill must be used while working.

In my opinion, you did not use reasonable care and skill when you carried out this work.

I want you to fix the problem/give me a price reduction.Heres the law you can all winge as much as you like,You can use this if you also have a problem with a purchase .

I'm not pissed off at all even though I think you're wrong, think you're wrong to air your grievence on here in the way you have and I think you come out of this very badly, to me you look like you've got a chip on your shoulder and you've hijacked the forum to have a pop at Rosco

Now I don't know either of you nor have I until now expressed any sort of opinion on your situation, so I kind of think the only guy pissed off right now is you

    Word of advice for you

Legal advice is a whole lot different to an opinion expressed by someone working for Citizens Advice and sometimes the only time folk find that out is when they go to court and lose

    This is absolute crap !!

In the 70s/80s this was the case with mainly mono use

loads of lads are using multi rung rods for shore fishing with fixed spools and braid with no issues at all !!

In fact with braid they work better as you get less ringwraps and crackoffs

I use 50lb braid with a 60lb mono leader and do not have any issues casting over 200yards on grass with this setup and 10mm intermediate rings on the tip section

You are talking a load of cock !!! AGAIN

If I buy a rod for backcasting which I have a few I always buy multi but have never used a multi always used fixed spool with mono or braid . Doesn't seem to affect the rod in fact the line seems to go through the guides better and the rod has better shape when bent bringing in a fish or two.
