What a catch
I take it that's a free fishing stretch in Glaidsdale? Is it any good?
Like the last 'Christmas Tree' pic  Somebody was having a bad casting day!
It can be Clive- but you've got to catch it right and when its not chock-a-block.
Cheers Bucko and Woldedge.
I'll pack my fly rod next time Mrs. Nicepix and I camp at Hinderwell.
Its usually best just as the water level is dropping. Most the anglers I know favour the bridge area but I know a colleague from work lured a 12 pound salmon from under a bush nearer the bottom of Limber hill - on a fly.
nice salmon that
I have just came across these Glaisdale pictures and what great memories they bring back for myself.
As a schoolboy i fished that water after getting the train there from Thornaby.
The time will have been about 1969/70s i saw the terrible UDN on the massive salmon lying dead and dying all over the river. :happyB
