finally the summer doldrums are on us & we can get to sea. launched this morning, still a bit on on the edge, no problems & kept dry. water clarity better than expected (thanks to no overnight rain) took some bait but didn't use it, mackerel 1st drop (whilst fitting transducer) enough for barbeque this t-time. next couple of marks a bit "mopped-off" keeping a better sample to 5lb. pier end produced double/treble shots of big whiting , a couple of Pollock to 3lb returned & billet, left these, only keeping some bigger oversize ones for pot bait. weather fine, bit of run on with wind, but settled mid tide. landed with 20 keepers, settled spell for next few days going to target bigger ones on shads to-morrow ,hard inside as water clarity should be even better.
