Gear for sandsend cliffs

    Winter Cod Fishing At Sandsend Cliffs

    I am wanting to give sandsend cliffs ago but don't know if my gear is up to the job.

    I have a slosh30 and shimano catana surf 130rd

    Any advice would be appreciated

    slosh is fine rod may be bit soft if its made for surf but i dont know nowt bout it.
    plenty rods in classified up to job mate

    Managed to get a 6lb'er up on my own with a slosh 30. Great reel for casting but limited to the amount of line it holds I was using mine last wednesday up there but had to change to my Penn 535 after loosing some of my main line but it's normaly fine.

    both rod and reel will be fine.

    the rd is the rough ground model in the catana range.
