I am looking to buy a second hand fixed spool reel for the beach this winter

    What are the recommendations?
would be interested if any body selling, but more interested in opinions of what to avoid etc
I have seen shimano 8oo0 on ebay going for about £40 so that's what I will do
if all else fails and roughly what I would spend.
    .
Doesn't have to be perfect i.e. scratched etc but working.I could do a swap for a lever drag boat reel.maybe?

Ive got a battle and love it. Its tough as old boots, and with a spool suitable for both beach and cliff top fishing.

Just got myself a Daiwa BG 8000. It's built to last.
