Fishing Sandsend sewer hole advice please ??

    How do men. When over in feb got some big tides. Was after info on sewer hole at sandsend. Want to give it ago at low water and see what I can get. If not right for cod what else may be about

    Ive usually fished it on a neap tide, dropping sea for my best results.

    fishing from the Whitby side, casting into the "runs"/features from

    sand end to scars, rotton bottom/plain lead does it for me to reduce

    tackle loss. bait fit for time of year.

    bigger tides perhaps area below goat path etc , lads who fish bigger tides

    may reply for you.

    fished it on last two hours of ebb & ist hour of flood, watch out for flood coming in

    behind you if you fish from Whitby side, it floods round to car park base etc.

    You may get the odd coalie if its not right, also some Whitings if you get into the sand at the side of it. Personally I wouldn't fish it unless the conditions were right for cod.
