Due to sea dropping fast & keeping away from obvious crowded venues,

Managed a couple of hrs this morning on beach at st Germain's to horse path

(A nice deep feature developed recently).

First two casts resulted in big whiting @ 1lb, ruining bait intended for cod.

Next two casts, a couple of decent 4lb cod, nice fresh run fish.

Whiting a plenty for next hr or so,taking big baits, no more cod or decent knocks.

Pier looked busy with illuminations a plenty.
Good Big razor, mussel n lug cocktails used,no weed, gentle undertow nice conditions

Fog n frost went after midnight, two cod kept had roe in,early spawn? Or warmer

Conditions changing spawning pattern? Used to be February, col d sea ,

    For spawning.

After these strong land winds, hope colour stays for next weeks rough up.

Aye BRI, recent results of Marys matches, viewing Whitby clubs

    Sun,wed outings results good indicators.

Not on fbook so,can't say outcome of local bragging rites,

Still good for inshore boats in settled window opertunity,

Fri, sat, fortnight ago, Andy did well on shads, nowt on mussel etc.

Dave had 43 keepers pier to marske high, bait n shads, all not lost

    If weather right.

Had the dog on the beach between Coatham and the Gare, plenty of sea on and its growing but the down side is the amount of weed on the beach

Thanks for the heads up Bri. I must get down to collect some weed to dig in the allotment.
