First day of 'summer'

Thursday May 18th-managed at last to launch and get out to sea.
The trip over the moors, drenched in spring sunshine was a precursor to a good day.
We stopped at various distances from shore to check the visibility-it was pretty good at 3 miles so decided to do rough ground and the odd inshore wreck. We managed a 'picking' from various marks of Cod and Ling up to 5lb, sporting fish on light tackle. The bonus Coalfish adding to the excitement.
If you want to know where they were caught and what on, ask Dan!
We ended the day with 30 fish, 6 keepers. Incidentally Ling can go back if you puncture the swin bladder.
On reflection, a good day showing a lot of promise for the summer to come! No fish showing inside as of yet but it won't be long!
