feeder rod

    Is this agood method for fishing river that's slow flowing and deep? Not done much of it like. Cheers mick

    yes it is(simple method) use a groundbait feeder(dont mix to wet) and clip up(line attached to the clip on spool)pick out a mark on far bank so you hit the same spot every time,if its really deep
    say over 15ft you can tape the holes up on the feeder to stop the bait coming out to fast and ending up down stream,start with a 2ft hook length and if missing bites or bust maggots shorten this to see bites :wink:
    dont forget to put some bait samples in your ground bait also ask the tackle shop where your going and he/she will recommend a groundbait

    got over 8 different feeder rods all for different occasions :yes:
    but for the river a 12-13ft rod will do with multi tips say 1-3oz tips as long as its a
    steady paced river,in summer put around 10 feeder fulls in at the start(bream fishing_)
    without hook length on (stops line twist)just to get a feed bed down :yes:

    Cheers Jason am looking forward to giving this ago.the river is very slow and need in the part am thinking of fishing the stretch is about 100yards long
