Sorry lads i had the trots all day am sick as a parrot :vomit:
anyone get any on the fly today?
saw a lad get a few on the moor side matty, but i didnt bother trying.
Didn't get up for a walk - ended up having a look at a stretch of river out of the county but glad to see it was a productive day for you all.
Sounds like it was fishing very well indeed.
6 fish i kept. all on maggot feeder.
missed loads of bites but they seem to have stocked some very small fish this year, some just pushing a pound so that might be why they were finicky biters. The biggest one might have pushed 4lb if it was in good condition but it was full of eggs and quite thin.
Forgot to say, i went up with 2 mates. one had 13 with 6 of them under a pound and my other mate had 3 decent ones.
Nice work Dan.
I bet the pike are liking all these 'under a pound' stockies even if the anglers aren't!
well done dan.
I remember when a 1lb stockie was a good fish at lockwood and scaling!
Aye Matty- those three quarter pound stockies were the mainstay of my teenage fishing years.
Cormorants love them as well.
