    Morning all,

planning on a trip down runswick perhaps sandsend on the kayak this weekend proving the weather continues to play ball, and was wondering if anyone had been out recently and how the water clarity is doing??

went out a couple of weeks ago nearer home in redcar and it was thick green!! I realise things can change overnight but hoping some recent info could help!!

    cheers all!

Its clearing up nicely at Redcar so should be the same for Sandsend, was that you in the green kayack about a week ago, I was out for a test run in the white longliner, just done some work on it so was having a run around to make sure everything was ok

    Bri ,Andy,

Water clarity much better huntcliffe/ cattersea way to day

Mates went out from saltburn, very dire regarding fish, only small mops.

There used to be a couple on long liners parked up on beach below

    Tractor berth on road bend.

No doubt you did a good job for them bri, work you did on ours a1.

Got another one in the queue for work to be done, a wrigglesworth coble to do, new gunnels and knees, new washboards and timbers and a good spruce up and flowcoat

Think I should start charging then the work would dry up

Its a labour of love, just remember to get out yourself we need some

Guidance on how to find the elusive Pollock.

Hope this warmer spell improves things.

Well I tried runswick on the kayak but it was still VERY thick green, couldn't see the end of the paddle when put straight down in the water........zero fish for me! One of the lads got a one around 2lb but that was it.

Fingers crossed things start to clear over the coming weeks!

    Cheers

Went off this morning, more to give the boat a run out than any real hope of fish water still green, but clearing. Tried several marks for the grand total of 3 small billet. Decided to have one long last drift before heading back, half way down bumped into a good shoal of codling, nothing big, all in the 2-3lb bracket. After several drifts I'd had about 20 fish, kept half a dozen for the pot, rest went back to fight another day.

Hope it's nothing too serious Bry.

Sorry it was phantom may out of saltburn not ours

    Must improve queens English.

Moonraker had 6 mops marske high.

If it dosnt change wind direction & continues to settle we might find it improves.

Marske beach starting to recover back to sand, better for launching

Walk along runswick boulder clay other day beach non existent seems all our

    Areas have suffered.

A few more fish starting to show today, nothing shattering size wise but they're starting to show in a few numbers to the bait and anchor boats
