First day I've had to get out fishing for a month so alarm set at 5 to get loaded up... Weather was looking poor...

The drive to Scarborough was rubbish in the thick fog...

Quick call at mcds for breakfast and coffee then onto marine drive... Upon dropping down the hill to the seafront the fog disappeared the sea looked perfect and the sun was blazing...

Had to wait for my mate zippy (slept in again) so got tackled up and waited for him

Quick paddle to my co-ords on the GPS... Anchor down and let's get fishing!!!

    First up... A codling

    Then a tidy pollock

Had another small cod... Sizeable but released and a few more pollock

Had a paddle back to shore at slack water to have some dinner and a pot of Yorkshire Tea :D

Greedy wrasse... Had half a dozen throughout the day

    Oooo best paddle back in

After getting broadsided by a big wave in the surf I paddled rather quickly and landed right side up on the beach... Couldn't pick the front of the yak up with the weight of fish in there :D

    Great read.
    Good numbers.
And, as you say, what a day!
Water was crystal clear today near Flamborough.
