managed to get her in the water today, all went as it should with only a couple of things to sort , engine need lifting a couple of holes and petrol tank need a longer pick uo tube in as it only works layed down which is rearly odd as it says on it to stand on end for reserve
need to find diferent prop to try as the one thats on is that fine i couldent get anywhere near full throtle before reaching max revs stlll managed 29mph on the gps though
Brilliant stuff Chris, the lads are definitely enjoying themselves :cheesy:
ye there keen to get at the silver fish now , recon the boat will be preped and out of the garage tomarow night waiting for me to come home to go for a couple of hours at flambro
How are you and Mart plus all yer gear, 7ft of angry tope and god knows what else going to fit in there !!!! you two are not exactly the smallest of the species knocking about.
I suppose you could always drag Mart on a rubber ring from aft.
Regarding the prop are there no specialists about we use BT marine for our new prop calculations but we are talking 2.5m props, does the engine maker not give you any figures, size, pitch, number of blades etc..
you can quickly go off some people you know!!
it will be ok as it need some ballast in the bow LOL
  :laugh:made me laugh.
..well it was me or cps's wallet...
Hahaha I'd defo say cps's wallet will be heavier than you mart !!
By quite a few pounds
hmrc has all mine now they think i play for man u im sure
not much done since the last posts as i have been working away but have about got all the small bits finished off over the last couple of weeks
knocked some ss mud gaurds up from some 2mm ridgeidised sheet costs around £400 a sheet but i had a fgew spair from a big job that was free issue so thought i would put it to good use and made a set for the ally boat and a pair for the trophy has hers were starting to look a bit shaby
also made an anchor holder split a bit of tube so the chain can slide down and the shaft on the grapnel anchor sits in in i have had a rail mounted one on my trophy for a good few years and they work well will do some pics when i have made the anchor
allso wellded a couple of corner pieces in the console to make a nice little hole area for chucking stuf while fishing pliers plugs etc
and one of my baby ac/dc water cooled 240v tig that i have been doing the smaller jobs in the garage at home with to save draging here back to my shop
we with all the talk of small boats and yaks to sneek up and the fish i thought i better up the game and ad some improvments to do some sneeking myself
so was it to be a trolling motor so them bass carnt her us
nope went for good old fashened camo so they carnt se us coming
also knocked up a bait table so i dont have to bend my back while bait fishing
it lifts out so its can be left at home for lure fishing trips
so now all we need some nice weather :cheesy:
