    was fishing my scalby mills match glen many get fish like this on but the chance of getting them up is stacked against you had bigger ones where you can,t even get them out of water let alone wind them up

    Ive had 1 about 7 and a couple around 6. Its a nightmare. Steve Hoyle was next to me one night. I asked if he had a pole and he just said "Cut your line".

    My biggest up there was just over 7lb and that was hardwork on my own with no pole :p luckily it was guthooked, I think they settle down on the lift when they swallow the hook.

    personally think you stand a lot more chance of getting a good fish up on a good stf rod than using a pole as you still have felling when they hit ledges so you can swing then a little to get them over, that said you need to be strong in the back lol and lucky to

    Well done pete, once they get above 7lb I usually hope they will drop off once I get about half way up ;D
