One of the most popular and well supported matches in the calendar will be fished next Sunday, 8th February, when teams from Whitby, Cloughton, Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington compete for the Bell Trophy.
All teams must meet at 09:00 at the Oasis Cafe, North Bay, Scarborough for registration and entertainment provided by compère and local celebrity George Dunn!
Fishing times are 10:30 to 14:30 with weigh-in at the Scarborough Anglers Social Club, Friars Way, Scarborough.
Boundaries are Argyle Gully (where is that?!), Hayburn Wyke to Filey Brigg.
Last year's winners were Scarborough Rock Anglers who will be looking to retain their title.
    Good luck to all teams.

Well done all the members of Filey C on retaining the Bell Trophy on behalf of Filey Brigg Angling Society. In particular team captain Billy Colling who also took the individual sweeps for both the heaviest bag and heaviest fish.

The tide and conditions promised much with a big northerly swell and plenty of colour however the bright sunshine meant that fish were hard to find. 107 competitors from 11 teams took part with 34 of them bringing 58 fish to the scales. The final results were as follows.

    1. Filey C - 8 fish - total weight 18.6.2 - average weight 2.10.7
    2. South Cliff - 7 - 9.11.14 - 1.3.6
    3. Scarborough Rocks - 5 - 9.9.8 - 1.3.3
    4. Whitby A - 5 - 8.6.14 - 1.2.2
    5. Whitby B - 2 - 7.2.2 - 0.14.0
    6. Whitby Bass - 4 - 6.15.2 - 0.13.6
    7. Bridlington - 7 - 10.14.8 - 0.12.4
    8. Filey B - 4 - 6.2.14 - 0.9.9
    9. Scalby Mills - 2 - 5.0.4 - 0.8.0
    10. Filey A - 12 - 5.13.2 - 0.7.12
    11. Cloughton - 2 - 6.9.4 - 0.7.8

    Heaviest bag - Billy Colling - 6.12.14
