They fished at Anchor in the mouth of the bay and said they had a bite a cast all day and managed a total of 20 cod between them and many more lost off. They said it was a beautiful day and quite warm whilst the sun was out. Lets hope for some more good weather and another crack at the codlings for us all in the coming weeks.
Brilliant stuff lads, I'm sure the guys in the RAF Seaking Rescue helicopters have the same dry suits ;D
Well done lads- I made the choice to go pigeon shooting rather than fishing, looks like I made wrong choice. Regards John
I made the same choice as you John! Was thinking of going to sea, but afraid the water might be coloured and bait fishing isn't my favourite method. So this afternoon was fly fishing on the Rye, with a pal of mine. Dam me, the river was coloured too! I crossed the river on Tuesday when it was bank topping, but thought it would have dropped back but cleared more than it had. We had half a decent day however, between us landing 6 brownies and four grayling - all on dry flies too. Anyway, well done to Faron and Damo!
Sorry being well dozy, just seen it was 2014 !! Anyway, not much changes 12 months on. Hope you got some pigeons this year too John!
