    Thanks for those pics Clive and a brilliant variation. Everytime I see a calm sea on a summers day I get yak withdrawl symptoms :cry: That yak you,ve got is a cracker too, it seems to sit nice in the water.

    I used to do a bit of semi-pro stuff a few years ago. Mainly for magazines, but I haven't done any for a while now. Once I retire from the day job I'll probably take it up again to supplement my pension.

    Glenn, That's Houghton Mill between St. Ives and Godmanchester. This is the view you get from the tent in a morning!

    Thanks.

    Barbel became an obsession this summer as injury kept me off the yak for a few weeks. I had that 10lb 3oz fish and a coupleof 8lb barbel from a free stretch of my local river. I lost two bigger ones too.

    It's tope and mullet on the agenda this year though :yes:

    Yes, well spotted. :yes:

    I photographed an article for Nick Halstead a couple of years back. He used TroutPoppers to take a few trout and pike from Walton Hall fishery near Wakefield. I also photographed the flies for the TroutPoppers catalogue and still have a dozen or so in my wallet.

    They are great for bass too. :yes:
